The 2011 Texas Steak Cookoff Results

Once again historic downtown Hico, Texas, was overrun by steak enthusiasts from across the Southwest to see who makes the Best Steak in Texas.

93 Backyard Chefs came to compete for the $2500 first place prize on Saturday, May 21, 2011. They were joined by over 7000 others to enjoy live music, great shopping, VIP dinner, and a Texas Wine Tasting.

Texas Steak Cookoff

The Texas Steak Cookoff in Hico, Texas, is an annual event in which backyard chefs from all over compete for the title of "The Best Steak in Texas". Not only does it bring out the best cooks, but the best steak fans from all over the world. We'll see you in historical downtown Hico, Texas where you can experience the sights and smells on what we think is the best day of the year.
